Medical Laser Down?

About

Independent laser service practices nationwide can rely on.

A1 Plus Laser Tech Inc. is a medical and aesthetic laser equipment service company founded in 2007, serving customers in all 50 states. For nearly two decades we've repaired, maintained, inspected, installed, and sold laser platforms — and supported the practices, dealers, and industry partners who depend on them.

Medical and aesthetic lasers are precise, valuable, and central to the practices that rely on them. When something isn't right, the right first step is careful diagnosis — not part-swapping and not guesswork billed by the hour.

A1 Plus Laser Tech has spent nearly twenty years working hands-on with the platforms our clients use every day. As an independent service provider, we don't answer to a manufacturer's parts catalog or a quarterly quota. Our recommendations reflect what the equipment needs and what makes sense for your practice.

Every laser we service represents a real capital investment and a real commitment to the patients being treated with it. We take both seriously. That means clear communication with the staff who use the system, honest scoping of what a repair will and won't accomplish, and documentation you can hand to a compliance officer, a dealer, or the next owner.

We're not the biggest service outfit in the country. We're the one our clients keep on speed-dial because we answer, we show up prepared, and we tell them the truth about their equipment.

Candela GentleMax Pro

GentleMax Pro: 'lamp' fault turned out to be a simmer supply

Symptom
Practice was quoted a full flashlamp replacement by another vendor after repeat startup faults and inconsistent output.
Findings
On-site diagnostics showed the flashlamps were within acceptable service life. Root cause was a marginal simmer supply on the Alexandrite side, producing weak ignition and misleading fault logging.
Work performed
Replaced the simmer supply, verified energy output across the treatment range, and cleaned the pump chamber optics. Documented calibration reference readings.
Outcome — System returned to consistent output the same day. Client avoided an unnecessary flashlamp assembly cost and retained the original lamp life.

Lumenis M22

Lumenis M22: intermittent chiller alarms after two prior visits

Symptom
Chiller alarms during high-volume treatment days. Two prior vendors had swapped fluid and cleared codes with no lasting fix.
Findings
Diagnostic run at load revealed a partially clogged inline filter and a flow sensor reading at the low end of tolerance. Cooling loop pressure recovery time was outside spec after each pulse train.
Work performed
Replaced the flow sensor, flushed the cooling loop, installed a fresh filter, and verified pressure and temperature stability under a simulated treatment load.
Outcome — No further alarms across the next 90 days. Client added quarterly PM to hold the improvement.

CO2 fractional resurfacing platform

Pre-purchase evaluation of a used CO2 resurfacing laser

Symptom
Owner considering purchase from an online marketplace. No service history available from the seller.
Findings
On-site evaluation identified a degraded RF tube, worn scanner mirrors, and a cooling loop that had been topped off with the wrong coolant. Estimated cost of return-to-service exceeded the buyer's ceiling.
Work performed
Delivered a written evaluation report the buyer used to walk away from the deal. Sourced a second candidate unit, inspected it, and confirmed it was serviceable within budget.
Outcome — Client purchased the second unit with confidence. A1 Plus performed installation and initial PM after delivery.

Candela Vbeam

Vbeam pulse-energy drift traced to alignment, not the lamp

Symptom
Vascular practice reporting inconsistent pulse energy and unpredictable clinical results.
Findings
Diagnostics showed beam path misalignment following a recent equipment move. Lamp hours and internal logs were normal.
Work performed
Re-aligned the beam path, verified energy at the handpiece across the treatment range, and documented reference values.
Outcome — Output returned to spec without a parts replacement. Client received a written service report for their compliance file.
