What a preventive maintenance visit covers
- Output verification on each installed module against specification
- Coolant replacement and filter service
- Optics inspection and cleaning on the Erbium and Halo paths
- BBL filter and crystal inspection
- Interlock, footswitch and software checks
Faults we see most
BBL energy drop and filter recognition errors are the most common calls, followed by cooling alarms and scanner faults on the Halo and Profile handpieces. Erbium modules can lose output when optics are contaminated or the cooling loop is degraded.
Because the platform is modular, the right fix is often a targeted module repair, not a full system replacement.
Recommended service interval
For busy practices, a PM visit every six months is a good baseline; lighter use can stretch to twelve. Coolant should be serviced at least yearly regardless of treatment volume.
A1 Plus Laser Tech is an independent service provider with technicians certified and trained on all major platforms. Call 586-224-4561 (open 24/7) with the model and the fault, and we'll tell you what we'd check first.
